Shriya has tendered an unconditional apology for ?wearing inappropriate skimpy attire? at the silver jubilee celebration of Sivaji, where Tamilnadu Chief Minister Karunanidhi was the chief guest.
A day earlier the Hindu Makkal Katchi (HMK) had lodged a complaint against the actress and sought police intervention to take legal action. Shriya says since she was coming from Istanbul in Turkey where she was shooting for the Hindi film Mission Istanbul via Mumbai to Chennai to attend the function, she had no time to change!
Shriya in her apology statement said: ?I will be sending a letter of apology to Chief Minister Karunanidhi and members of HMK. I would like to apologize profusely if I have inadvertently offended anybody with my attire.?
